Three-Year Anniversary of Cataract Project: Expansion to Other Provinces Planned

16 September marked the third anniversary of GX's "Cataract Blindness Elimination Programme" in Vientiane, Laos. GX hosted a special appreciation dinner, inviting representatives from Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese communities to express gratitude for their long-term support of the project.

 

Since its launch in September 2022, GX has completed 10 cohorts of the project in Vientiane, Luang Prabang, and Champasak Province, performing over 5,700 free cataract surgeries. The 2019-2025 project was successfully completed in May 2025. GX plans to expand the project to other provinces, bringing light and hope to more Laotian people.
