About
GX Foundation is a non-governmental charitable organisation established in Hong Kong, China in 2018. We aim to provide medical and public health humanitarian assistance to Belt and Road countries, embodying the spirit of “sharing” and “people-to-people connectivity”. Guided by a vision of shared prosperity, GX works hand-in-hand with governments, medical professionals, and local communities to deliver transformative programmes in areas of critical need.
GX Foundation
At the heart of GX’s mission is the elimination of preventable suffering through targeted medical interventions, including its flagship initiative to restore vision for cataract patients in underserved regions. Beyond surgical care, GX combats vector-borne diseases through prevention and education programmes, ensuring communities are equipped to break the cycle of transmission. Recognising that health is inextricably linked to environment and resilience, GX also implements clean water initiatives, disaster preparedness strategies, and long-term recovery support in vulnerable areas.
Central to GX’s approach is the belief that lasting change begins by empowering people. Through youth development programmes and cross-border partnerships, GX cultivates the next generation of humanitarian leaders while strengthening local capacity.
Governed by a diverse Board of Directors and led by Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, GX embodies a commitment to solidarity, innovation, and measurable impact, bridging gaps in global health one community at a time.
