GX and China Foreign Affairs University held a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony today at the University located in Beijing. This marks the collaboration in the fields of civilian diplomacy and the development of international talent. The ceremony was witnessed by Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying, along with WANG Shi-ting, Party Committee Secretary of the China Foreign Affairs University. CEO Prof. CHAN Ying-yang, Emily and Prof. WANG Fan, Dean of the China Foreign Affairs University, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of both parties.

This collaboration aims to combine GX's practical experience in international humanitarian aid and public health with the University's professional expertise in training talent in diplomacy and international affairs. Together, the two parties aim to encourage professionals with an international perspective and practical skills to engage in global humanitarian aid efforts, thereby promoting the sustainable development of civilian diplomacy.

After the signing ceremony, Chairman CY LEUNG was invited to deliver a speech at the University, where he shared GX's practical experiences and insights into civilian foreign aid initiatives. His address inspired nearly 300 faculty members, students, and guests in attendance.

GX has been dedicated to promoting international humanitarian medical assistance and actively establishing partnerships with domestic and international organisations. As a key institution for training diplomatic talent in China, the University has long supplied the country with professionals who possess an international perspective and specialised skills. This collaboration will further strengthen resource integration between the two parties, injecting new momentum into international affairs and humanitarian work.

Secretary WANG Shi-ting expressed gratitude for Chairman CY LEUNG's inspiring speech, emphasising that civilian foreign aid is a crucial component of the country's overall foreign affairs strategy. He highlighted its unique and irreplaceable role in enhancing international friendship, promoting mutual development, and showcasing China's image as a responsible major power. He expressed hope for fruitful outcomes from the ongoing collaboration between the two parties.
