Chairman LEUNG Visits Uzbekistan to Promote Public Health Cooperation
Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying led a delegation to Uzbekistan on November 7 to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Zulaykho MAKHAMOVA, Health Minister Asilbek KHUDAYAROV, and Deputy Minister Alisher BOBOEV, in the capital city of Tashkent. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on promoting public health cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation also travelled to the historic cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, where they visited multiple local hospitals and community medical institutions to assess the current state and needs of local public health services. The team also held a symposium with representatives from local Chinese enterprises to explore ways to enhance public health collaboration and community health building. A special visit was made to the “Chinese-Uzbek Medical Technology Park” to learn about the latest advancements in TCM product development and clinical application.
This visit has laid the groundwork for public health and TCM collaboration in Uzbekistan, opening a new chapter for future medical assistance and development in the Central Asian region.
