Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying Visits Cambodia to Explore Traditional Chinese Medicine and Advances Clinical Applications and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Chairman CY LEUNG, together with CEO Prof. CHAN Ying-yang, Emily, led a delegation to Cambodia on 14 September to review GX public health programmes locally and explore the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
On 15 September, the delegation met with Deputy Prime Minister NETH Savoeun and Cabinet members to discuss strengthening cooperation in public health and advancing the application of TCM in Cambodia. They also held meetings with the Minister of Health, Prof. CHHEANG Ra, on GX’s Cataract Blindness Elimination Programme and Project for Health Protection against Dengue Fever, as well as the practical use of TCM in the country.
In the afternoon, Chairman CY LEUNG and Prof. Emily CHAN visited the China–Cambodia TCM Centre at the Cambodia–China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital and conducted exchanges with the Sichuan Medical Team in Cambodia. They also toured several pharmacies along Phnom Penh’s “TCM Street” to gain first-hand insights into the clinical use of TCM.
The delegation further met with Dr. CHUOR Meng, Director of the National Centre for Traditional Medicine, to exchange views on traditional medicine research and practice, and to explore the development potential of TCM in Cambodia.
