Training Held at China Red Cross Society in Beijing for 60+ Medical Team Members and GX Personnel
In collaboration with the Red Cross Society of China, GX held its fifth pre-departure and first aid training course in Beijing to prepare medical teams and GX staff for their upcoming overseas missions.
The three-day course commenced on March 3rd. Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying, CEO Prof. CHAN Ying-yang Emily, and LI Lidong, Vice President of the Red Cross Society of China, attended the opening ceremony to offer their support to the trainees.
The 52 participating medical professionals were from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (assisting Laos and Cambodia), Shanxi Province (assisting Djibouti), Heilongjiang Province (assisting Mauritania), and Fujian Province (assisting Senegal). In addition to the medical team members, GX also sent 6 Hong Kong staff members, 1 intern, and 7 Youth Ambassadors to join the training.
The curriculum placed special emphasis on emergency response training in resource-limited settings, reflecting the realities of overseas medical missions. Participants completed theoretical courses on first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and trauma care, followed by practical assessments. All trainees successfully obtained internationally recognised first aid certification.
