Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nazarbayev University to Cultivate Humanitarian Talents

Chairman LEUNG Chun-ying led a delegation to Kazakhstan on 12 November, where they met with T.S. SULTANGAZIEV, the First Deputy Minister of Health, in the capital city of Astana. Following in-depth discussions on advanced medical technology and talent training, the delegation proceeded to Nazarbayev University for a MOU signing ceremony aimed at promoting the cultivation of youth humanitarian talents.

 

The ceremony was witnessed by Chairman CY LEUNG, with CEO Prof. CHAN Ying-yang, Emily and President of Nazarbayev University Dr. Waqar AHMAD representing both parties in signing the Memorandum. According to the agreement, both sides will collaborate in areas such as youth humanitarian training, public health practices, and international medical cooperation, cultivating young talents with an international perspective and professional capabilities. Chairman CY LEUNG also delivered a speech at the university after the ceremony, sharing GX’s experiences in promoting global public health assistance, disease prevention, and youth development, encouraging students to engage in public health issues and participate in international humanitarian efforts.

 

On the same day, the delegation also visited Astana’s School-Gymnasium No. 78, engaging with teachers and students on topics related to humanitarian assistance and health education, and sharing experiences of youth involvement in community service.
