From April 6 to 10, our team led 11 Youth Ambassadors to the China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing for the first GX Foundation Training Program at the China Foreign Affairs University.
The training sessions were delivered by experts and scholars from the China Foreign Affairs University, covering a range of core themes including International Landscape and Major-Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics, China’s Status and Role in International Organizations, Public Diplomacy in the New Media Environment, and Health Diplomacy under the Belt and Road Initiative. The program systematically explained the concepts and pathways of China’s external engagement.

In addition, the delegation attended a regular press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, where they were received and held exchanges with Ms. Mao Ning, Director-General of the Information Department. The team also visited the UNHCR Representation in China, China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation and the Old Summer Palace, gaining in-depth insights into the operations of international organizations, public health security, and China’s modern cultural history.

The five-day training has not only deepened the Youth Ambassadors’ understanding of China’s diplomacy but also laid a foundation for their participation in public health and humanitarian medical assistance programs in the Foundation’s project countries this July.
