GX hosted the Youth Ambassador Programme on 29 and 30 December 2025, where 30 students participated in lectures, workshops, and team-building activities related to international humanitarian assistance. The programme was further enriched by the presence of our Chairman, LEUNG Chun-ying, and CEO, Prof. CHAN Ying-yang, Emily, who engaged with the students and delivered inspiring talks.

Through these activities, students gained insights into the operations of our various departments, including external relations, logistics, fundraising, and public relations. They interacted with our colleagues to learn about the purpose and impact of our humanitarian projects, inspiring a heightened awareness and dedication to global public health. In addition, they participated in the activity “Dialogue in the Dark,” where they experienced the world of the visually impaired, enhancing their communication skills and teamwork.

Over the course of the two-day internship, students gained profound insights. Youth Ambassador Mok Hei-yi, Gyneth, shared that the experience only scratched the surface of the challenges faced by the visually impaired, yet it gave her greater empathy for their difficulties. CHEUNG Yim-ting, Katarina, also expressed her hope to join our overseas services in the future.

We believe this valuable experience will help them gain a deeper understanding of humanitarian principles and inspire them to pursue careers that embody the spirit of helping others.
