Seventh educational talk held successfully with the participation of over 200 students from Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School

GX Foundation held the seventh “Belt and Road Medical Humanitarian Assistance Education Talk” at Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School on 21 December. GX intern, HKU Global Health and Development student, Andrea, shared her feeling and some unforgettable experience from the visits to the Cambodia and Laos project sites with over 220 teachers and students.
Andrea joined GX as an intern in July and did her placement in the Cambodia and Laos project sites in September and November respectively. She stated that it is a privilege to contribute to people-to-people connectivity with other countries. She feels very glad to share in this talk as a wrap up for her internship.

During the 1-hour session, the students also interacted with a Lao patient, GX local colleagues and the Guangxi medical team aiding Laos. From this experience, they got to learn about the feelings of the patients post-operation, as well as some memorable cases shared by the medical team and local staff.

GX is grateful for the arrangements and assistance from Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School, which contributed to the smooth running of this event. We will continue engaging with teachers and students of various districts to provide exchange opportunities, aiming to enhance students' understanding and interest in medical humanitarian aid work.
