GX Foundation meets with Shanxi medical teams

GX working team visited Shanxi Eye Hospital and conducted working-level meeting with Shanxi medical teams, hospital management staff and representatives from Shanxi Health Commission. The Province will be supporting the GX project to Djibouti, in deploying expert medical personnel to eliminate the backlog of cataract cases in the country. Medical teams from Guangxi were present to share their previous experience working in cataract blindness in Cambodia.

Through the provision of much-needed eye-care to communities across the country, improving the health and livelihood of elderly people, GX aims to uphold the value of “people to people connectivity” under the Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation.
