Celebrating United Nations Day 2025!

Today (24 October) is United Nations Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the UN's founding. This year's UN Day, under the theme "Building Our Future Together", calls for global solidarity in facing challenges and jointly creating a sustainable future.

As a Hong Kong-born non-governmental charitable organisation, we have consistently supported the UN's principles and Sustainable Development Goals through concrete actions. Today, we are pleased to announce that GX has completed over 24,000 free cataract surgeries across five countries, helping countless individuals regain their sight.

Today in Hong Kong, we are co-hosting a sharing session with the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC), allowing students who participated in our "Disaster Preparedness Kit Project" in the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu this year to share their experiences and insights. In Honduras, we have also collaborated with the Ministry of Health to produce health education videos, which are being released today.

We firmly believe that sustainable global development can only be achieved when everyone enjoys good health. Let us uphold the founding spirit of "uniting nations" and work hand in hand to build our future together.
