Deepening international exchanges and cooperation: representing Hong Kong NGOs in providing foreign aid
The Government Work Report proposed for the first time that “Hong Kong should deepen international exchanges and cooperation” during the recent national Two Sessions. Vice-chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of GX, LEUNG Chun-ying, returned to Hong Kong and conducted a “Belt and Road Medical Humanitarian Aid Educational Talk” with CEO Prof. CHAN Ying-yang Emily at St. Paul's Convent School.
In addition to introducing GX’s mission and work to the teachers and students, they shared insights on how local organisations can play an active role in international exchanges and cooperation in areas such as culture, education, and charity, as mentioned in the Government Work Report.
GX’s Senior Project Officer, Ravneet Saran, who is a graduate of St. Paul's Convent School’s, also shared her work experiences in African project countries, enhancing the teachers' and students' understanding of GX’s humanitarian aid efforts.
