GX launched its vector-borne disease prevention and education programme at Luang Prabang Provincial Hospital and Pakseuang Health Centre. The community-level health centre is a small, recently established health centre, which covers 6 villages. The centre offers basic child and maternal services and treats minor conditions, including stomach-aches, headaches, and injuries. The majority of the elderly patients who seek care suffer from high blood pressure and cataract. We hope the donation of mosquito lamps and knowledge sharing will eliminate the numbers of vectors in clinics causing disease and discomfort to the patients and health workers.
