After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, GX team visited Prey Veng Provincial Hospital and its medical team to revisit the selected site for Cambodia's Cataract Blindness Elimination Programme and present project updates to the hospital chief and relevant units. Located 3 hours from Phnom Penh, the on-site ophthalmology unit does not have the capacity to conduct cataract surgery. The GX Mobile Eye Treatment Centre will be stationed at the hospital to provide necessary surgery to patients in the region, with the support of the Ministry of Health and expert medical teams from China's Guangxi Autonomous Region.
