With the support of the Ministry of Health, on 3rd June, GX Foundation’s working team visited the Medical Logistics Centre, to witness and confirm the arrival of cargo and inspect the quality of the materials donated by GX to support the country’s fight against COVID-19.
As an urgent response to a request made by the Ministry of Health of Lao PDR, GX sent a total metric weight of 20 tonnes of emergency medical equipment to Vientiane, including 60 patient monitors; 10 ventilators; 1,500,000 surgical masks; 30,000 surgical gowns; 160,000 gloves; 10,000 safety goggles; and 10,000 face shields, arriving in four cargo flights between 21st May to 2nd June.
GX continues to work with the Ministry of Health in the fight against the April 2021 outbreak of COVID-19.
