GX Foundation and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC) co-hosted an event in Beijing today for the benefit of exchanging in-depth ideas on future collaborations. HKCCC representatives across a range of sectors, including medical technology, media, youth engagement, and banking, joined the discussion to listen to the work of GX and share ideas for development and partnerships.
HKCCC has been established since 1993, with members with extensive resources all over Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR. In recent years, they have prioritised and participated in the development plan of the Belt and Road Initiative for International Collaboration. GX is looking forward to working with HKCCC to expand its presence across China, particularly in knowledge sharing, accessing the newest technologies, and fostering young talent who are interested in global development and humanitarian health. GX Chairman, Mr. Leung Chun Ying attended the event online from Hong Kong and shared introductory remarks about the Foundation and its Cataract Blindness Elimination Project. HKCCC Chairperson, Ms. Amy Siu also joined in the fruitful discussion, along with delegates from Beijing, Sichuan, Guangxi, Liaoning, and Fujian, both in person and online.
